Did you gift a book to the Library in Buenos Aires? That would be a good way to make it circulate more.

I am reading your book in Spanish and it is such a compelling read! It flows beautifully and I am getting the same feelings I got from when I first read it in English.

This time, I am taking the chance to improve my Spanish and I am making notes of the new words and expressions I am learning through it.

    Well done, Marc!

Great suggestion about the library, serafina . Marc, did the book fair limit the time you were allowed? Can you participate in the next fair, too?

Not sure which library? Yes, I was limited to 90 minutes and I'm sure I can do the same in the next one which is one year away by which time I hope to have different material.

Oddly enough, I prefer it in Spanish!

Do you mean the Biblioteca Nacional?

I believe that in the UK a copy of every publication is automatically forwarded by the publisher to the British Library. Does the same thing happen here?

Yes, the Biblioteca Nacional, bebopalula . I don’t know what the policy is, but it should be easy to find out.

Or impossibly difficult, in which case we can look forward to a highly entertaining account….

Lovely website! The question should be written ¿Por qué?

I attended Mundo Lingo recently and gave a great pitch about your book to a fellow English man of yours!

    Ah ha, I'll correct that!

A fellow Englishman? Do I know him?

    I didn't know this:

Porque, Porqué, Por qué o Por que (diferencias, usos y ejemplos)
Porque es una conjunción causal, equivalente ‘ya que’ o ‘para que’. Porqué es un sustantivo, sinónimo de ‘causa’ o ‘motivo’. Por qué se emplea para introducir…

    It is easy to explain.

"Porque" i used when you give a reason for something discussed.

"Por que?" is used when you ask a question to other person.

    Nothing difficult to understand.

On Sunday we went to another in-laws' barbeque/asado, but this one was different because the family friend's husband is American and doesn't speak a word of Spanish. So that was a pleasant change for me to be able to talk English all afternoon!

Anyway, he was told that I had published a book and no sooner had he got back to the hotel, he bought a Kindle version off Amazon and got into it straight away.

Ahem, he later commented that my writing reminded him of Ian Fleming...

Here's an interesting mini documentary about the British invasions of Buenos Aires in 1806/7.

Just think what might have been...

This looks so interesting! If only I could slow it down by about half his conversational pace, I’d have fully understood!

If you click the cog at the bottom of the video you can slow it down.
