The tragic air accident that took the lives of Emiliano Sala, the Argentine footballer and his pilot has made me ask a question.

Cardiff City FC agreed a £15 million fee for the player to move from Nantes FC, so why did they not arrange more suitable transport to Wales for the player?

That is my own doubt. Why the urgence to get a plane to cross the Channel?

There is a train that crosses the channel at high speed, and very close to Nantes.

It is very uncanny. An innecessary risk.

The thing is getting to Cardiff , Carlos. The train is great if you are going from Paris to London . Onward connections are not too easy.

It seems that one of the agents involved in the transfer wanted to make a gift of the flight to Sala . It seems to have been done in a hurry and the plane used want the right one for a night flight across the Channel.

I suspected as much and without wishing to speak ill of the dead, there are some pretty rotten stories going around about the pilot, David Ibbotson.

Many say he didn't have the experience for that kind of flight.

Yes, this I understand. But still I am wondering about the urgence to arrive quickly. After all, the weather conditions were far for being acceptable. And the late young Sala was not a surgeon that needed to be in the place so rapidly.

By the way , and nothing to do with this thread, Cardiff was the place where we argentineans purchase coal for our gas provision, more than a Century ago.

I didn't know this guy previously to his tragic death, but I thought about him a lot since hearing the news.

Too young to go and in such unfortunate circumstances.

“... But an associated document disclosing more ownership detail, including any associated companies or individuals, appears to have been removed from the database.“

I wonder if this is a common practice.
