These are discouraging numbers, indeed. Even more lamentable are the numbers who aren’t going to bother going out to vote, presumably because they’ve given up.

No problem....the Russians will sort it out again.

Argentine friends always emphasize the country’s relative isolation and seeming lack of international importance, to strengthen their hope that the Russians couldn’t be bothered to interfere. Is there evidence to the contrary?

Well, voting is compulsory here, so the turnout should be decent.
Much that I think Macri is a weak president, he and his team should be given the chance to finish the job at least.

I think it is no longer compulsory, you know?
My husband said he had to justify why he didn’t vote while he was in Italy, but then he no longer had to.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If he'd got inflation down to anywhere near single figures during his time in office I'd have been very suspicious. If he gets back in and doesn't start to turn things round over his next term then eyebrows should be raised.
Even then it's a tall order...

I keep waiting to read an opinion piece written by someone with ideas instead of mere statements of fact or pure condemnation. Yes, we all understand that something must be done differently, but do any of the critics have concrete suggestions?

Macri's political guru, Jaime Duran Barba tries to unravel the Fernandez-Fernadez ticket. Meanwhile,in my household, everyone except me is convinced that this ticket will win.
The sum is less than the parts

Can't decide which is more annoying at the moment. The political scene here or the one in Britain.

Don’t leave out the USA. Our government is also a complete dumpster fire.

We're having elections today and tomorrow in Italy. Candidates remind me of history books on WWI and II.
