Strange.....then again everything's strange here.
I'm sure they refuse to give petrol to the bike/scooter brigade here unless you have a crash helmet with you. You don't ever have to wear it when you're on the road though.

Carry it under your arm, but as you arrive, pop it on your head (only half way), then put it back under your arm when you leave.
Zoom down the street and hit another car overtaking and see your brains splattered on the tarmac. If your eyes still function correctly, that is.
You forgot the two kids and the family dog....all without crash helmets.
Spotted this a few weeks ago.
A new law is coming into force in Tucuman which will ban men having a male pillion passenger on a motorcycle between the hours of 2100 and 0600, i.e. two men riding on the same bike.
So two women will be okay then? Or one man and one woman?
There's even talk of placing a GPS in new bikes ffs!
human rights case!!!!
Banning homosexual men from riding motorbike......nasty!

And anyone called Frank will also be banned between midnight and six am.
Kind of stupid compared to the common sight of a father, mother and two kids without helmets all riding on the one motorbike I see here on a daily basis.
the chorros will need to dress up accordingly!!!! Hahaha
I did see two guys in dresses yesterday. Would that work?
Scottish tourists with kilts would have a bit of a job as well

All these laws might be acceptable if they actually solved the problem of motorchorrors. However, they don’t. The funny thing about criminals is they don’t mind breaking the law, so the odd motorcycle rule is hardly going to stop them.

At least they are gonna look funny now..... hahaha
I filled up at a Shell earlier today and not only do they insist on a reflective vest to be presented, but now will NOT accept contactless payment by QR code with your mobile if you are a motorcyclist.
Cars yes, but not us.
I was gobsmacked at this utterly ridiculous and unnecessary complication to our lives and simply find it hard to believe that when things are already hard, there are idiots who try to make things even harder.
Furious doesn't quite describe how I feel about this.

A friend had shared a contradiction with the Autopista Twitter channel: at the toll booth, there is a sign inviting you to pay the toll by scanning a QR code next to a sign prohibiting the use of the mobile phone. The official answer is that you can use the phone INSIDE the car, but not outside.
I guess motorcycle cannot pay by QR, then
Quite comical to see bikers pull up here at the pumps and get an empty coke bottle half filled with petrol.
Big news here was the confiscation of 18 motor bikes last weekend on one stretch of road. All riders weren't wearing helmets, had a license, tax or insurance and most of the bikes were stolen or unfit for the road. Two of the riders were aged 11 and 12.
Tip of the iceberg and obviously done for publicity.
Oh the irony!
The very same Carolina Piparo, the deputy dawg who's law makes it compulsory for bikers to wear reflective vests and helmets with the vehicel reg number stamped all over the place, is now in the shit - or at least her husband is.
He has now been detained for running over two motorcyclists whom he mistook for criminals. In other words, any old biker will do because we're all the same and clearly that couple hate two wheelers.
Karma exists.
Motor bike riders are a fucking nuisance where I live. The sensible ones only count for around 10% of all those riding a motor bike sadly. As long as the idiots are allowed on the roads then nowt will change.
And running over innocent bike riders with a ton of metal at your disposal?
