Haven't seen this to often in recent years although a few years ago it was quite common.

That would certainly be traumatic. I hope the robbery doesn't make people stay away from the Taj Mahal, which at this moment should be one of the safest places in the city.

The place is 4 blocks from where we live. What surprises me is the lack of proper planning. They took only 20,000 pesos from the cashier, because that place opens at 8:30PM so at 10PM people were still dining and hadn't paid yet.
Had they gone at midnight, they would have scored more.
They did rob all the guests, though.

True, they didn’t think about the greater amount of cash they could have had if they’d waited for the tables to turn, but these guys probably aren’t the Al Capone gang of Buenos Aires, in the planning department. Casing the restaurant, they might have seen a big watch or two, and decided not to miss out on the chance!

I don't think it's an indication of any crisis, especially since we seem to live in an eternal crisis here.
This isn't the first restaurant robbery I've read about. Another recent one was a motorbike themed restaurant, I'm sure.
