  • This is causing quite a stir, but then when he opens his mouth a stir is caused in almost every case. This time, what's he's said is being called treasonous by some.

"President Putin says it's not Russia. I don't see any reason why it should be," he replied.

Watch this video and study whether Putin would rather be somewhere else?

  • I wonder what Mr John Brennan would have the President do?

Mr John Brennan would have the president behave like a president.

Indeed. But if his acting skill doesn't reach that level, perhaps Mr. Brennan, Former Director of the CIA, would expect the president to pay attention to the very real threat to US elections and democratic process that the US intelligence community has pointed out, rather than accept the word of a murderous thug who, until January 2017 was reviled by the very US citizens who now tacitly accept mr. trump's adoration of him.

That might be what Mr. John Brennan would have the president do.

What Rice would have the president do is this: Accept that the US Intelligence Community knows what it is doing and that the Russians pose a real threat to free and fair elections in the US and the EU. Let Putin know that the US is on to their tricks and won't stand for meddling in the future. Point out that meddling in our elections is completely separate from the question of trump campaign collusion with the Russians, and try not to be so thin-skinned about accepting the former even as he hopes that no proof of the latter will be turned up.
