How heavy are bikes like that one? From the looks of it, the rider probably wasn't more than about 65-70 kg, not much of that being muscle. Are there instructions on righting a belly-up bike?
If that’s a helmet on the driveway, then it’s just annoying and embarrassing. If it’s a mirror then he’s looking at a $US200+ repair bill.
And I never rode with shorts. Asphalt is not forgiving.
It takes a stupid kind of person to ride with shorts and flip flops. A friend of mine tried it once only, came off and scratch burnt his entire leg in the tarmac.

It looks like a helmet. When he walked out of the garage with it, for a minute I thought it was a weapon he was going to use to shoot his horse.
