Landing page 'Home' edited to exclude who liked a post. Deemed as irrelevant to homepage.
The homepage has also been configured to land correctly at 'Home' rather than 'Members', which was a glitch in the system.

Support the forum box added where members can send a contribution to the annual cost of maintaining the forum.
The breakdown of costs is as follows:
SSL certificate (HTTPS) for safe browsing as indicated by the green padlock $80 p/a
Hosting at Godaddy, general maintenance and updates $80 p/a
Domain name (argentinaexpats.org) registration annual renewal (ICANN) $22 p/a
That's about $15 per month.
All start up costs from 2017 with WoltLab forum software were one-off costs and therefore do not form part of this.

You'll know better than me but I don't see the point in shelling out money for a forum. Would it not be better just to open a social networking site account and communicate with other forum members that way?

Forums and social media are two entirely different arenas altogether UK Man , which is why I set up the original Argentina Expats back in 2014 in the first place.
You get what you pay for nowadays and although social media are free, they aren't inherently private like a forum.
I also run a number of Facebook groups, but frankly it's not the same thing by a long shot. We have total control over this forum, whereas social media is controlled by a corporation.
