Or to pay off humungous debts that successive bungling governments have run up over decades. You may as well burn it.

I am quite relaxed about the fact that the taxes I paid last month will be used to purchase some wooden willies for the Ministry of Health.
Without a doubt, a great decision by the governing party.
Now if ever I get a wooden splinter in my rear end, I hope to convince the guys in the A&E department at the Aleman that I was sliding down the toboggan in the local park.

Seems to be that time of year again when the wife's accountant is advising her to spend spend spend!! Think I'll chance my luck and ask her to buy me a box of cigars....Cubans will do.

UK Man , this might also be the time to request a crate of KitKats -
Dia were doing a 2 for 1 offer on KitKats the other week. She bought me 40 of them which worked out to the more realistic price of 50 pesos each!
Yesterday their cans of German stout were on 3 for 2 offer so I helped myself to 9 of them!! I only drink one beer a day.

Is it any wonder that the the black economy in this country continues to thrive. Taxes are absolutely punitive.
We all know the score when buying anything with an Arg credit card on a foreign website - 65% tax.
This is made up of two taxes:
RG AFIP 2815 35%
Impuesto PAIS 30%
I very rarely use an Arg card for dollar transactions, but sometimes do when buying games on Steam when it's a small amount. Here's an example:
But that's not all. May main customer for courier work pays me by bank transfer and every single credit payment is subject to a sales tax (IIBB ingresos brutos) of around 4.5%, so even when I'm putting money into my account, it's getting stolen at source.

Completely insane.

Anyone that wants to pay me by bank transfer gets an automatic 4.5% price increase....
My only Bs As customer pays me in used notes. Actually, they are never used, they are always brand new. As he is not a printer , i am quite relaxed.

Yes, that's what I had to do this week and not least, increase my prices to absorb the IIBB.
What a fucking country.

Everything's farcical here....from dodgy bank practices to supermarket receipts. Twice this week the missus was overcharged in supermarkets...she always checks the receipt before leaving the store.
Usual faff getting it sorted out but she always gets it fixed no matter how long it takes.

Good for Mrs UK Man! If everyone did that, the stores would be more careful.

The check out girls are always very nice which helps. It's the management that are useless.

… and, I imagine, long waits for the manager to make his/her way over to you.
In the US, there are some supermarket chains that reliably get the charges right every time. And others that are all over the map.

The other day I complained to the manger at Coto because of the long queues at the single checkout that was open, only to have everything blamed on Covid.
How convenient to blame staff shortages and mismanagement on THAT. I laughed in her face.

Right. An easy excuse.
During our cross-crossing of the country in November, we took a gas station manager to task for posting signs on the bathroom doors, saying “Closed due to Covid.”

Their style of pricing is my biggest gripe. This 35% off the second unit nonsense really does take the piss.

There are some rules that one has to follow.
Never deposit cash in your accounr, if you do that you will be charged with the IIBB tax.
As I am here in the USA, I use my credit card for all purchases. I am receiveing payments in dollars that are redited in a Bank account here..
I pay my Credit card with the help of my son. The difference is important. Of course they charged me 35 % for one tax and 30 % for other one, but at the end they are charging the Peso quiatarion (109 per dollar) and then plus 35 and plus 30 %, that ends with a dollar of 180 pesos. When I return to the country with the cash I will get more than 215 for each dollar. That is the preocedure to avoid high taxation.
