The first little basic cellphones marked a decline in manners, as people quickly forgot that having a phone that could go everywhere wasn’t synonymous with license to actually USE it everywhere.
Next, transform that basic little phone into a computer, with its limitless options for communicating and being entertained. The rudeness barrier was breached 23 years ago; is it any surprise that there are no longer any unspoken rules about computer games or relentless texting at the dinner table?

I have to agree, because everyone, including myself seems to be only interested in the likes of twitter, and others

WhatsApp voice messages drive me nuts since most people leave 60 second messages of bullshit which could have been achieved with a simple text message of just a few words.
Blah, blah, fucking blah.

Totally agree! I thinking to write 'no audio messages' in my whatsapp status. People use them for therapy.
My husband is hooked on those. He and his friends exchange 6-15 minutes long monologues on that thing. WTF?!

That would drive me insane. Ten years ago, people routinely left cell phone voicemail msgs simply to say “call me back.” Somewhere along the line, everyone figured out that the people on the other end could see that they’d missed a call, and would call back, with or without redundant vmail. Maybe WhatsApp voice msgs will catch up.

What breed is this, a Maltese?
We found him several years ago abandoned on a dirt road. He was in a hell of a state with his coat all matted together. We brought him home and the missus spent hours cutting it off. There's some poodle in him along with whatever else.
