Tom started seeing doctors in Buenos Aires early in 2020, but was unable to get a diagnosis until a few weeks ago. He and Nancy flew to Seattle two weeks ago for treatment. He died this weekend.

He was a very kind, generous, gentle soul who loved all that BsAs offered. We will really miss him as a good friend and neighbor.

We met him and Nancy at one of the get-togethers and yes, he really did love BA.

What a terrible news! I had read they were leaving Buenos Aires two Fridays ago but I would have never imagined it would be Tom's last trip to the US. My condolences to Nancy.

I will definitely pass your kind thoughts along, serafina . May I ask how you heard they were flying out? I’m curious to know if we have mutual friends who are also friends of the Roths.

Yes, but not very often and not recently. His posts were mostly about practical things, like answering questions on where to buy unusual items.

They had posted they had an iPhone 11 for sale on the other forum, and added that they were traveling to the US in two weeks, so to hurry up if interested.
