This is a big and very controversial move by the NY Attorney General.
Another case of snouts in the feeding trough or simply a political move by the Dems?

Although absolutely everything that comes up in the run up to elections must be viewed with a jaundiced eye, the probe into misuse of members’ dues as the personal kitty for higher-ups has been in the news for months. They must finally think there is enough evidence to bring a successful suit. I’m not holding my breath, but we can always hope.
I am glad you are not holding your breath. The NRA is arguably bigger than the political system in the USA. If they really put their mind to it they could start a civil war. It’s one of the dirtiest organizations in the world with tentacles everywhere.

Tell the NRA they've miscontrued the meaning of the right to bear arms
i'm sure it'll happen
I didn’t think anything about the NRA or the corruption of LaPierre &Board could surprise me.
What surprised me was my own ignorance of the fact that they have the status, in effect, of a CHARITY. With their enormous coffers and steady membership, they somehow maintain the designation and tax benefits of a nonprofit organization.

No tax - how convenient.
Just like Scientology.
There’s a lot of crossover between the two.
