Why do you think the USA is such a great example, @JAN ? To date, 1% of the population has been tested. ONE PER CENT! People who are symptomatic can’t even get tested until dead; only then will one of the scarce tests be used, to confirm cause of death.
Two months ago today, we got on a plane for Hawaii, not having a clue that coronavirus was anywhere but Wuhan. This was weeks after the WHO had notified all nations of the rapidly spreading disease. Ten days after we arrived, the president of the US announced that the country had 15 cases, that would “soon go to zero.” Had the cruise ship with sick passengers not arrived and forced the truth into the light, the US might have remained in the dark longer than mid-March, when the government finally woke up.
How was Argentina’s response worse than the US’s? Did Argentina knowingly allow people to get on virus-infested planes too? -

Rice I never said USA was a good example, en contraire......they totally fucked it up......
But what I constantly say: that China produce, or let this virus get ground, how they deceived and lied and and and, is the FIRST CHRONOLOGICAL STEP......that Mr t AFTERWARDS, did huge mistakes, talked it down and and and, is SECOND STEP!!!!!
It's like driving 200 km per hour and complain over that your pullover is bad quality when u crash and it get ripped apart.......can be its shitty quality, but it got ripped apart because u drove 200 km/h and crashed......!
I seriously hope they will ban ANY traveling from or to China for undetermined time.....
Until we know how serious this is and have an answer.....
No one can tell whether there is maybe already million dead and infected in China....

daniel, my husband was laughing out loud so hard I thought he was going to choke. A little TOO hard, I felt, since we both remember my failed attempts at sewing ANYTHING. And while he has no problem sewing up people, he would never consider sewing a hem, button, or mask.

I have decided today to declare the coronavirus in Argentina very little lethal!!!!! After putting a few million of the most vulnerable people on the streets a few weeks ago, no really deadly Wave of disaster have really happened, (assuming the government is not covering up thousands of deaths, which I doubt).
So really how it looks in Argentina, even that the numbers are higher than what is published, and also few tests done, no real Armageddon here......or am I wrong? Someone seen dead bodies on the streets and zombies? I guess not......so even if we put a zero behind the death toll, it's nothing really serious......and on top for sure 90% would be old, or say above the lifetime expectance, or people in a very vulnerable condition....that would pass away just with a common cold. (Don't wanna sound cold hearted, but that's just how life is....by 75 u r already on borrowed time).
I'm gonna call the bigote and tell him to call all this bullshit off!!!

Tend to agree Jan however apart from the odd cock-up or three I think they got it right. Then again as they had f*** all to lose in the first place it was an easy decision to make.
Hopefully the restrictions will ease off when this period of quarantine ends.
