We spend a full day in a Estancia with friends and it was really great. The day started when the transfer pickup us from our building and take us to the Estancia, just 50 minutes away from BA. The host was charm and take us directly to the field to watch a professional polo day. While tasting wine and enjoying the game, the barbecue was on the go. Excelent Meat, faboulous wine. After lunch we have the opportunity to learn a little Polo and play a match between ourselves. Was a great day, i greatly recommend it poloday.com

What's the price of such an experience?
Estancias have a special place in my heart, but in the last years they have been prohibitively expensive so I have always passed.
I'd love to find a cheaper one where to spend a couple of days during summer.

I'm curious about that too.

Quite a few of these estancia visits about although I have my doubts as to their authenticity especially when they include a professional polo game.
As long as the punters enjoy it that's all that matters.

Ismael is just so exited about his visit, that he thought he needed to sign up here same day and make his first post about it.....
...and then ride off into the sunset.

With his polo club , bat , racquet , stick over his shoulder?

what I like about this whole polo tour is, there is no delay getting there......the webpage said it takes 50 minutes to get there, and it took Ismael exactly that time!!! They deliver what they promise.....

Think I'll start a Glasgow version at our place in the countryside....especially for those who have less money to throw about. No polo match but a game of football with the dogs on the lawn is much more fun. Followed by a BBQ and a few beers around the camp fire telling each other dirty jokes.

Sound good , whats the price?

Free as long as you bring along plenty of decent beer and pipe tobacco...and are prepared to 'muck-in'.

Saw some Tennents Lager in town the other day.
Bloody expesnive.
I am sticking with the local IPA and the occasional Quilmes Stout.

Not had a can ofTennents for yonks, was never a great fan of canned lager although I didn't mind a pint. I do like stout but thought Quilmes stout tasted a bit sweet last I had it. Schneider stout is nice as is the St Wendeler Negro. I'm hoping to get some bottles of Stella Noire tomorrow to try it. Vea are doing a 70% off the 2nd bottle offer on it. However as usual I bet they won't have any left when I go.
