I second AirBnB. There is a lot of competition and prices are relatively low. Try to look for a safe/nice area like Palermo Soho, Belgrano or Recoleta and you'll be safe all day long, with lots of walkable options to eat out.
I'd avoid San Telmo and Microcentro, as they might be unsafe at night time. Palermo Hollywood is nice during day, but there are abandoned industrial areas with people hanging until dawn and can be sketchy after dark if you take the wrong street.

The Air BnB is a good idea however as it's just for a couple of days on your own I'd probably just go to a hotel. Plenty of well known branded hotels in the capital where a room can be had at a reasonable price.

If u have money for a lawyer, I guess u might have money for a hotel or like already mentioned, an Airbnb room/apartment!!!
