Mercer.com has released their 2019 Cost of Living City Ranking. Expats thinking of moving to Asian cities should think again. We are at 133, right down there with Cuba. Free concerts, inexpensive wine and choripan must have worked in our favor!

That's all very well, but are those Arg prices a snapshot in time? If so, it doesn't take into account the 56% inflation rate.

Hong Kong has an inflation rate of 2.4%, so the costs could be more bearable.

Hong Kong’s inflation rate is low, but the zero line started much higher than ours. Hong Kong used to be my favorite city, but even when it was my #1, housing and food were very expensive. I don’t know about cinemas or fuel. Clothing was moderate to expensive. The only outstanding bargain was the Star Ferry.

Your point is a good one, though. Was their data on Argentina taken at the beginning of the study?The end? Or averaged over the year?
