Cops and bikes

This chap in Cordoba got pulled over by one of those awful police checkpoints and given a ticket for not having his headlight switched on. In the video he proves that the lights come on automatically when the ignition is turned and that it's impossible to turn them off when riding. This is a safety feature of most new bikes, a fact that the police chose to ignore.

He also show a woman being persuaded to act as witness and sign a document to that effect, but we don't know if she actually did.

Naturally, the man concerned is very annoyed by the corrupt system, designed purely to extract money from motorists, here and all over the world.

Ah yes.

I just give a polite wave and maybe a flash of the lights if I'm quick enough.

Another is the inverted V sign with the left hand which dates back to WW2 and apparently used by despatch riders.
